This is a project that McCartney had been considering for a long time, as his inspiration as a child was rock´n´roll, and it was rock´n´roll that was responsible for Paul´s picking up a guitar. In March 1999, Paul was finally able to get together a small group of some of the best rock musicians in the country (including David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) on guitar and Ian Paice (Deep Purple) on drums) and spent a week non-stop recreating the rock´n´roll sound, only with a new element that was all the band´s own.The songs include Chuck Berry´s Brown Eyed Handsome Man and Elvis´ All Shook Up as well as some original material written by McCartney.
