Yanagisawa A-wo10 - Elite Gold Lacquer Yanagisawa A-wo10 - Elite Gold Lacquer It has been almost 20 years since our 900 series Alto was first launched in 1995. Since then we also brought out the 902 & the 992 series which were made of bronze, and the 9937 which was made of silver and also the pink gold-plated model in order to achieve a variety of sound. Despite these changes, the original design and engineering has been a proven success and as such, it is a design that we have been reluctant to alter. However, sometimes it is necessary to take a fresh look at an old design. The music and musicians of today are much more flexible than before and the saxophone in now appreciated in a much broader field, everywhere from Classical to Jazz and Pop. And so, we feel that it is now time for a new model to lead these new and exciting time. The 900 series has been targeted at beginners and at intermediate players while our Light type model W01 is so advanced that even ELITE players will enjoy the feeling of the new light blow sound. It is easier to control without losing our trademark quality of sound. The Heavy type model W010 has kept its deep sonorous sound and now has a thicker deeper quality, with a solid feeling of blow, yet it is not too heavy nor not too hard to play. Improvement Point * Key mechanism 1. Readjustment of the right pinky keys´ angle for a smoother fingering. 2. New feet under the right side key levers (Bb, C, and high E) for a better touch. 3. Adopted the palm-key reinforcement plate, to add high-range resonance, acoustic depth and projection across all registers, and exceptional tonal stability. (W01 and W02) 4. Readjustment of the Front F key for a better fingering. 5. New design of joint rings (Bell to bow, bow to body) 6. New design of an engraving on the bell * Sound and intonation 7. Readjustment of the taper of the tube and tone holes size & position. 8. A new source of brass for W01 and W010 models. * Introduction of a new case 9. A brand-new stylish case 10. A new compartment on the outside for ease of access. 11. A new back pack design.
